Hello, and hopefully everyone has found time to get out and play some rounds in the month of May, albeit tough with the rainy weather. With the cool overnights and moderate daytime temperatures, we will aim to verticut greens again this week as long as everything cooperates with us.
We have lowered the height of cut (H.O.C.) on the greens mower to where we like to have it throughout the season. With our cut+roll goal of 3-4 times a week, we hope this will continue to help us achieve ideal greens conditions.
We have replaced the majority of our wooden stakes and rope on the course with new metal stakes. The newer stakes are built more for the long term than the wooden stakes, which we had spent hours and money on repairs throughout the year. As a bonus, we think these help provide a cleaner look to the course with less upkeep moving forward.
We have worked hard to improve and clean up the course, and appreciate everyone’s patience with ongoing projects, and we appreciate all the help contributed.
We will aim to button up the 7 tee project soon, and look forward to our high school help returning in the middle of June.
